Witnessed by Chinese president Xi Jinping and his Maldives counterpart Abdulla Yameen, the Preliminary Contract Agreement for Expansion and upgrading of Ibrahim Nasir International Airport in Hulhule of Maldives hasbeen signed between Beijing Urban Construction Group(BUCG) and Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL)on September 15, Maldives’s local time.
The two heads of state held talks in the Maldives capital MaleOn September 15, reaching an agreement onestablishing a future-oriented all-round friendly and cooperative partnership between the two countries. After the talks, XI, accompanied by Yameen, attended the signing ceremoniesof cooperation contracts on diplomacy, trade and economy, and infrastructure construction, etc. Li Daosong, the General Manager of Beijing Urban Construction Group Overseas Business Dep., signed the Preliminary Contract Agreement with Ibrahim Salem, the General Manager of MACL.
