In June 17, Mozambique’s President, Armando Emilio Guebuza led a team of more than three hundred people to the agricultural processing factory to inspect the work. The project Manager, Feng-Lin Zhang led them visited the feed workshop, corn plant and unloading grain pit workshop which are still constructing and then the President visited the staff accommodation rest area. The President shook hands and talked with the project staffs enthusiastically and gave a wonderful speech to thank us for what we did for Mozambique’s development, he gave a high praise to the progress and quality of this project; he stressed that the two countries friendship will have a long standing, and he called the Mozambique residents have to work hard to help and support the Chinese companies because the Chinese friends help them to relief the poverty. He sent a thanking letter to Chinese embassy in Mozambique personally after the inspection.
Agricultural processing plant project in Mozambique is the first project when the OBD established, it is also the first Chinese government preferential loans project that BUCG contracted. The project includes three independent processing factories, they are Cotton processing plant, and corn feed mills and rice processing plant respectively. The three processing plants are far apart from each other and covering a large area, and all of them are consist of many monomer manufacture and supporting facilities, which include processing workshop, finished product workshop and office residential.
The preparation before OBD won the bidding include Actual investigation, cost calculation, Contract negotiation and the Risk Averse analysis of exchange rate, labor organization and the uncertain factors, etc,, that were the effective guarantee for us to win the bidding, implement and realize the profit. The OBD combined efforts with home and abroad since the began of this project, and overcome the difficulties that the construction site far away from the motherland, communication fall behind, time error, scatter and long distance among every processing factories, while they gave full play to the advantages of OA platform and used the connection method of long distance with the site to inspect regularly on the project site safety, quality, construction period and cost targets performance from the capital, contract, labor, construction and other key links, in order to make the project management level improved continuously. The project department focuses on sticking up for the relationship with the local residents in the construction process, they offered the drinking water for free, helped them to improve the living environment, donated study and sport facilities to the local residents, and Set up the courage to take social responsibility of Chinese enterprise image finally. The project will be completed before the end of this year; the OBD will use this project as a starting point to expand the vast market in East and Southern Africa.
