On June 14th, a signing ceremony was held for civil engineering works of Section 02, the west section of Beijing Low-speed Maglev Transportation (Line S1). BUCG leaders Liu Longhua, Li Taixiang, Li Zhenchang & Guo Weili, the chairman of Beijing Maglev Technology Development Holding Co. Liu Zhiming and its general manager Wang Ping took part in the ceremony. The chairman of BUCG Liu Longhua said that the project brought us honor as well as pressure. Due to the difficult technological degree and high quality requirement, BUCG would organize the best team and staff for the project with scientific management and meticulous construction. Meanwhile, BUCG would cooperate well with the owner, do the best to keep the quality, quantity and safety, accomplish the construction successfully and make it a tribute to the Party’s 18th Conference. It is understood that the practical maglev train will be adopted in Beijing Maglev Transportation Project, the investment of which is RMB 6.423 billion. The initially-determined construction period is 2years and 8 months with scheduled track completion in January of 2013, system joint debugging in June, trial run in July and trial operation at the end of December. The line is the first low-speed maglev transportation in Beijing and even in China. It will be the longest running line in the world. The section contracted by Beijing Urban Construction Engineering Tenth Co., Ltd covers 4 stations - Kuangwuju, Shangancun, Shilonglu & Sidaoqiao and 3 parts between them. The stations are reinforced concrete frame structure with mechanical hole perfusion posts and light steel structure roof. Each of the stations is designed to be a deflected station with the length 90.8 m or 91.5 m and the width 23.1 m, and the total length of 3 parts between 4 stations is 3043.358 m. The civil engineering work includes underground water subsided, reinforced bar in the foundation, shotcrete support, major structure, envelope enclosure, track pedestal and preset & embed of water & electricity pipelines etc.(Zhang Wenguo)
