The outstanding achievements obtained by BUCG on overseas markets have drawn the attention of China International Contractors Association. On February 28 Diao Chunhe, Chairman of the Association, with his team of 10 people visited BUCG. Li Zhen Chang, Vice-General Manager of BUCG, Li Daosong, Manager of BUCG’s Overseas Business Dept. and other concerned personnel met the guests and attended the discussion.
The discussion carried out in a very relaxed and warm atmosphere and Li Daosong made a detailed report on BUCG’s comprehensive capabilities and overseas market development. When the guests came to know that BUCG constructed many landmarks, including the bird nest, T3 of capital international airport and Yintai center, and now BUCG has a number of leading technologies in domestic architecture field, they were very much impressed. Many other issues were also discussed during the visit, such as unified construction standards for overseas projects, government influence on tariffs, and project tracking, investigation, negotiation, bidding and obstacles as well as resolutions. And how to contrive to promote “China technical standards” on the overseas market was also discussed by the participants.
For BUCG’s good performance and momentum on the overseas market, Diao Chunhe expressed his acknowledgement and pointed out: the world is in rigid need of infrastructure construction, so it’s the right time for Chinese contractors to “go out” to learn from and be involved in international practices. During the process of going out, the contractors should make wide reaches and strategic plans to ensure that the steps are steadily and strongly put forward.
BUCG’s Vice-General Manger Li Zhenchang expressed his gratefulness and emphasized the following:
Enhancing overseas business has been included in BUCG’s 12th five year plan. BUCG will make further improvement in the way of thinking and provide further support in respect of organization structure, training, and talents importing, to build up a qualified team. With the support and help of the China International Contractors Association, BUCG is determined as well as confident about our rise on the world market.
At the end of the visit, two publications: Guidelines for Overseas Chinese Enterprises and Personnel Safety Management; Good Cases in China International Contractors’ Society Responsibility Practice were presented by Diao Chunhe to BUCG as presents and these will serve as guidance in BUCG’s overseas business.
