President Xu Jianyun recently met Mr. Hammed from Qatar and engaged in an in-depth discussion about the cooperation on construction of sports venues for Qatar 2022 World Cup. The deputy general manager of BUCG Mr. Chen Daihua, Mr. Li Zhenchang and the general manager of Overseas Business Department Mr. Li Daosong made the presence.

President Xu Jianyun presented the comprehensive strength of BUCG as well as the operation status of BUCG-Qatar to Mr. Hamad, and highlighted the BUCG’s strong technical forces and rich experience in construction of city railway as well as in sports venues following by the introduction of BUCG’s development in Qatar market.

Mr. Hammed introduced the stabilized political, social factors as well as the development outlook of Qatar. The strong economic strength of his Al-attiya Family in Qatar was also introduced. Mr. Hammed added that he was definitely impressed by 2008 Beijing Olympic Game’s main stadium“bird nest” which was constructed by BUCG and hoped to communicate with and learn from the excellent designer, the constructor and the organizer of Olympic Projects in China. He also expressed the will of cooperating with the leaders of BUCG to develop the Qatar construction market jointly in taking the opportunity of 2022 World Cup through the respective advantages on the basis of mutual understanding.

During the meeting, both sides made the meaningful discussion of the preliminary scheme on the Consortium cooperation method. (Shen Yanlan)
