Recently Mr. Xu Jianyun, Party Secretary and Chairman of BUCG, held an interview meeting with Mozambique Finance Minister, Mr. Manuel Chang, and his three member delegation. BUCG Vice-General Manager Mr. Li Zhenchang and General Manager of the Overseas Business Department Mr. Li Daosong also attended the meeting.

During the interview, Mr. Manuel Chang highly praised BUCG’s scale and strength in the construction field. He introduced the situation of the agricultural industry park contract signed with BUCG and the economic policy and macro-plan of Mozambique. He said Mozambique is copying the economic development model of China and is planning to establish economic development zones in Beira and some other areas, and a large number of supporting infrastructures will be constructed. Minister Manuel Chang expected that BUCG would participate in more construction and investment business. Mr. Xu introduced BUCG’s development in the recent years and mentioned the successful implementation of Mozambique agricultural processing plant and some other projects, which have helped BUCG accumulate rich experience of accomplishing tasks with high quality and according to schedule under hard overseas environment. BUCG is willing to share with Mozambique its experience in economic construction over thirty-year’s reform and openness and make new efforts in Mozambique’s economic and social developments.(Qu Jinhong)
