The China Beijing International Fair for Trade in Services (hereinafter referred to as CIFTIS) was jointly and successfully hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and the People's Government of Beijing Municipality from May 28th to June 1st, 2012 at China National Convention Center in Beijing. Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the CPC and Vice Premier, Li Keqiang visited BUCG exhibition booth and was briefed about BUCG as well as its overseas development by General Manager of BUCG’s Overseas Business Department Li Daosong. During the visiting, Le Keqiang gave positively evaluated to BUCG’s efforts and expressed his wish that BUCG make fully use of this opportunity to expend its overseas business following the national guideline of “going out” of Chinese engineering contracting.
The first CIFTIS with the theme of “Trade in Services: New Vision, New Opportunities and New Development”, aims to promote exchange and cooperation between Chinese and foreign services trade companies. On behalf of BUCG, the Overseas Business Department of BUCG exhibited BUCG’s outstanding performances and thinking of development. During the exhibition, BUCG’s competitive strengths in high-end Engineering general contracting, high-effective real estate development, large-scale design and consultancy was successfully shown via three-dimensional space design in 62 m2 and big LED display, and leaders of nations and all industries and social circles were drawn to visit and discuss.
BUCG is well prepared for this CIFTIS under its guideline of “via CIFTIS, set up multi-aspect brand, push forward marketing”. BUCG used this opportunity to promote its recognition in China foreign economic industry and pushed forward the progress of Mozambique Agricultural Park project. During the preparation, BUCG Overseas Business Department was interviewed by both magazine “International Project Contracting and Labor Service” and web “China International Contractors Association”. During the fair, besides the main exhibition booth, BUCG also participated in “Overseas Chinese Commerce meeting” and “Construction Association plate”. The Finance Minister of Mozambique was invited by BUCG and attended this CIFTIS, which accelerated the examination and approval procedures of loans on favorable terms for the Mozambique Agricultural Park project.
BUCG’s brand influence was largely upgraded through this fair, hundreds of visitors from Australia, Korea, Canada, Zimbabwe, Cameroon and all over China came to BUCG’s exhibition booth and asked for more 600 copies of BUCG introduction.(He Zhiqiang)
