According to the announcement issued by Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China On 24th of July, , Overseas Business Department of Beijing Urban Construction Group is the successful bidder of “China’s Foreign Aid Project: the vocational-technical school in Bujumbura”. As the highest tender price bidder, OBD achieved the first place in both economical part and technical part of tender among the other bidders. This project is located in Bujumbura, which is the Capital of Burundi. The total land area of this project is 14,350 m² and construction area will be 5,736.4 m² which includes classroom building, office building, multi-function hall, practical training workshop and other supporting facilities.
It is understood that OBD implements marketing strategy in Burundi under the general policy which is utilizing China’s foreign aid project to enter target market with lower risk for further development. While the last project is wane to the close, as the general manager of OBD, Mr. Li Daosong always encourages staff in OBD which really creates a positive atmosphere. During the bid preparation period, on-site project team often updates the figures and information for helping the bid team to complete the tender. Consequently, by taking the advantage of OBD’s hard-work, OBD won the bid successfully and this is the first time that BUCG plays the role of EPC to do the foreign aid project.
