On October 10, 2012, it is officially announced that BUCG is awarded the Algerian Opera Project funded by China, which is the second China-funded foreign project that has been awarded to BUCG this year.
It is reported that the Algerian Opera Project, which is one of the twelve key China-funded projects, is highly valued by both the Chinese government and the government of Algeria. It not only fills the blank in the field of China-funded projects in Algeria, but would also become a landmark in Algeria.
The Project is located in the capital of Algeria, Algiers, and will become the culture and art center of Algiers. With a total construction area of about 18 thousand square meters, and a site area of 40 thousand square meters, the Algerian Opera is designed to have a capacity of 1400 audience and would be operated as an integrated opera that could hold conference, play films and carry out dramas and acrobatics shows.
The success of BUCG in the tender for this Project will play a key role in BUCG’s market expansion in Algeria, the North Africa area and the Mediterranean region. (Liang Xingbo)
