On November 5th, Mr. Chen Daihua, General Manager of BUCG, attended the opening ceremony of the China-Funded Algerian Opera Project, which was held in the capital of Algeria, Algiers. More than 150 guests took part in the ceremony, including the Algerian Culture Minister Khalida Toumi, Director of the Service and Management Agency for Major Projects of Culture (CPRA) Seray Abdelhalim , the Ambassador of China in Algeria Liu Yu and the delegation from Economic and Commercial Counsellor’s Office of the Embassy of China in Algeria. The opening ceremony has been covered by more than ten domestic and overseas news media.
After the opening, Minister Khalida Toumi and Ambassador Liu Yu proceeded to visit the Exhibition Area of Algerian Opera Project, accompanied by Chen Daihua, who introduced the details of project design and the functions of the Opera, as well as several landmark projects in China constructed by BUCG which include the National Stadium (Bird Nest) and Beijing Opera House. Later in the interview with the reporters from Xinhua Net and CCTV, General Manager Chen Daihua said that although this project is really complicated, BUCG has great confidence in finding a breakthrough.
