BUCG and the expansion & upgrading project department take innovation in construction method seriously—the project’s innovation workshop was found recently, whose main purpose is to promote digitalized construction in the project scope. Furthermore, to facilitate efforts on realizing digitalized construction, project department has seen to the formation of 7 research teams working on “Maldivian coral sand reclamation techniques and wider application”, “Maldivian shore protection techniques and wider application”, “hydrology of airport island adjacent water”, “airport F+EPC project managerial techniques and practices”, “airport design-construction techniques”, “runway construction on coral sand land” and “airside digitalized construction” respectively.
