On June 5, Party Secretary & Director of Beijing SASAC Zhang Guilin et al. inspected the Maldives Project of BUCG. Party Secretary & Chairman of BUCG Chen Daihua, Member of the Standing Committee of BUCG & General Manager of BUCG Chu Zhaowu, Manager of BUCG International Li Daosong et al. accompanies them for inspection.

The party led by Zhang Guilin inspected the projects including the Maldives Airport reconstruction and expansion project, the hydroplane terminal project and so on, extended hearty greetings to construction personnel on the site, made field investigation of the work progress of the Maldives airport economic zone, and listened to the report about overseas engineering expansion and implementation of BUCG.

Project Manager of the Maldives Airport reconstruction and expansion project Zhang Fenglin made a detailed account about the progress of four projects under construction including the Maldives Airport reconstruction and expansion project, the hydroplane terminal project, the airport ancillary facilities project, the airport company apartment building, and gave an account of technical innovation focusing on the construction contents including sea reclamation and revetment, digital construction, newly built runways of coral sand geology with “technical innovation workstation” as the foothold in the process of the implementation of the Project Department as well as the implementation of Party branch work abroad. He said, the Maldives project management team will make construction in a well-organized and scientific way, have confidence and determination to overcome the difficulty brought by limited time and heavy task, and complete the task of “the newly built runways are qualified for flight calibration on August 31” as scheduled with quality guaranteed.

Li Daosong gave an account of international business development on behalf of BUCG. Since 2010, international business of BUCG has enjoyed fast development under strategic guidance, and business performance has been rapidly increased with three-digit proportion every year. Besides, BUCG made market layout from a high field of view, improved project mode, established product types, and innovated development mode. In the process of development, in order to maintain sustainable growth, BUCG International also attached great importance to capacity building, aimed at being an international leading enterprise to enjoy continuous development in the aspects of continuous organization reform, human resource system construction, and urban construction cultural inheritance. Focusing on the actual circumstances that there are a lot of risks in international business, BUCG International continuously strengthened the construction of the risk control system focusing on the risk points including performance of contract, benefit making, safety and finance, and achieved the benefit target of BUCG. BUCG International continuously innovated and strengthened Party building work according to the characteristics of international business. The practices such as the establishment of Party branch online, and online Party member association and so on played a significant role, cadre management, and the construction of a clean and honest administration were carried out in a down-to-earth and effective way, which offered protection for international business development. Li Daosong also put emphasis on reporting the progress of the Maldives airport economic zone project. He said, in compliance with the proposal “the Belt and Road”, the project will lead the transformation and development of overseas new mode of BUCG, set up an offshore platform of collective complementary advantages for state-owned enterprises in Beijing, and offer assistance for rapid economic development in Maldives.

Zhang Guilin sang high praise for the achievements made by BUCG in international business, praised BUCG to be the new force among state-owned enterprises in the capital city, the practitioner and pacemaker for participation in the construction of“ the Belt and Road” among municipal enterprises in Beijing, and BUCG has very good development prospects in Maldives in the future. He expressed his wish on four points in terms of the implementation of overseas business of BUCG: Firstly, continuously give full play to the advantages of BUCG, greatly promote strategic layout, continuously expand overseas market, get more involved in the construction of “the Belt and Road”; secondly, strengthen risk control of overseas projects, attach importance to the supervision and management towards key posts; thirdly, give full play to the advantages of a municipal state-owned enterprise, strengthen the development of municipal state-owned enterprises through collaboration; fourthly, continuously strengthen Party building work abroad, attach more importance to humanistic care, make the Party organization become the fighting fortress for overseas business of BUCG.

Chen Daihua showed gratitude to Zhang Guilin and other members in the inspection group for their inspection, guidance and greetings. He said, BUCG will actively respond to “the Belt and Road” proposal, continuously make exploration in the exploitation and management of overseas engineering, and dedicate to more Chinese wisdom and Chinese schemes for countries along “the Belt and Road” at the same time while actively promoting the development of BUCG.

In this period, Zhang Guilin also met with Minister of the Ministry of Economic Development of Maldives Saeed and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Tourism Development, and witnessed the signing of MOU for the construction project of three branch airports in Maldives undertaken by BUCG together with Chen Daihua.
