On the afternoon of December 11, the specialized accrediting agency ZKHC (Beijing) Science & Technology Achievements Review Center organized the achievement evaluation conference to evaluate science & technology achievements “research and application of key airport construction technologies at the offshore reclamation of coral sand reef” completed for the reconstruction and expansion engineering topic of Maldives Velana International Airport.  

The achievement evaluation expert group includes seven top experts at home including the academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering Qian Qihu, et al. BUCG International reported the scientific research achievements to the expert group, deputy general manager & chief engineer of BUCG Zhang Jinxun and relevant leaders from CAAC Surveying & Design Research Institute and Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute accepted interpellation and answered questions from the experts. After listening to the report, looking up information, accepting interpellation and answering questions, the expert group unanimously thought that four core technologies from scientific research achievements including “the hydraulic reclamation technology of open-type cofferdam-free coral sand reef”, “the new hydraulic reclamation land area revetment engineering technology under the geomorphic conditions of ocean island reef”, “the foundation treatment and the deformation control technology of hydraulic reclamation coral sand” and “the coral gravel application technology of airport runway cement stabilized base” all have reached the international leading level.
