At 15:00 local time on November 18, 2019, the Ethiopian DSS Road Project of the BUCG International came to No. 2 High School in Morka, and donated over a thousand pens, over a thousand notebooks and two footballs and other stationery and sports supplies. Chen Wei, the Project Manager, gave a speech to local students telling students that they were the hope of Ethiopia’s future and that they should seize every opportunity to learn, not waste a second, and redouble their efforts to make themselves and the country better.
Erdachew, Commissioner of Local Education, expressed gratitude to BUCG on behalf of local government personnel and students for the donation, and offered to provide assistance to the best of his ability for the construction of DSS Road Project, hoping that both sides could establish a long-term friendly relationship of mutual assistance.
Due to the lack of local educational resources and hardware conditions, Local students still have to take unified examinations with students in the capital despite the harsh educational environment. The donation not only brought the school students with the school things that were in short supply, but also strengthened the allocation of local educational resources. More importantly, the donation won the friendship and support from the local government and people. The DSS Road Project is solving the transportation problem for the local people and fulfilling the social responsibility with practical actions, demonstrating the good demeanor of BUCG as a state-owned enterprise in the capital of China.
