On April 29, local time, a donation ceremony of anti-epidemic materials was held on the airport island by BUCG renovation and extension project department for Velana International Airport of Maldives on behalf of BUCG and the National Disaster Administration of Maldives, on which the anti-epidemic materials such as tents and air-conditioning equipment were donated to the National Disaster Administration of Maldives.

The project manager Zhang Fenglin handed over the materials to Mr. Hisan Hassan, CEO of the National Disaster Administration of Maldives. He said that at the critical moment when the world is working together to fight against the epidemic, the anti-epidemic materials represent the friendship between BUCG and the Maldives and Maldivian people, and it hopes that the materials can make contributions to the Maldives in fighting against the epidemic.

Mr. Hisan Hassan, on behalf of the National Disaster Administration of Maldives, expressed his thanks to BUCG for its strong support at the critical moment in the fight against the epidemic. He said that the then epidemic situation in Maldives was rampant and the whole country was united to fight against the epidemic, and BUCG donated the urgently-needed anti-epidemic materials and equipment at the critical moment which improved the confidence of Maldivian people to win in the fight against the epidemic. He also said that Maldive will keep the friendship with China in mind and immediately distribute the anti-epidemic materials and equipment to the front line of fighting against the epidemic to prevent and control the spread of the epidemic.

Under the circumstance that the world is fighting against the epidemic, BUCG always adheres to the front line of fighting against of the epidemic and actively provides assistance for other countries. Since the first case of COVID-19 was reported in Maldives on March 7, BUCG has made several donations to the local government.

On March 18, local time, BUCG project department in Velana International Airport of Maldives donated a batch of disposable masks to Maldives Airport Company and donated on behalf of the headquarter of BUCG the anti-epidemic materials such as electrical FAG masks.

On April 20, local time, BUCG project department in Velana International Airport of Maldives donated a tent in the size of 20m*30m and 12 sets of Midea air-conditioners to the National Disaster Administration of Maldives, hoping to provide help for the prevention and control of local epidemic.

True friends march together in times of trouble.
