From April 7 to 13, Li Weidong, the Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of BUCG, visited the Maldives and Singapore to carry out a series of business activities. He conducted research on BUCG's airport project in the Maldives, offered support to the personnel working abroad, and promoted the further expansion of BUCG's business in South Asia and Southeast Asia. During his visit to the Maldives, Li Weidong met with President Muizzu, Minister of Economic Development and Trade Saeed, General Manager Shareef and the management team of the Maldives Airport Company Limited, as well as Charge d'Affaires He Fen from the Chinese Embassy in the Maldives. He attended the launch ceremony of the Old Runway Renovation Project at Velana International Airport, conducted research and provided support for the seaplane terminal and related facility projects, and witnessed the signing of multiple project cooperation agreements. During his visit to Singapore, Li Weidong and his delegation met with Changi Airport Group and well-known engineering design management consulting firms, as well as Minister-Counselor Zong Changqing from the Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy of China in Singapore. They also inspected the planning, construction, and operational achievements of Changi Airport.
