On January 18, Premier Wen Jiabao kindly received representatives of Chinese-funded institutions in Qatar from BUCG and Sinohydro Corporation, overseas Chinese, and those of students abroad. Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi, Minister of Commerce Chen Deming and China’s ambassador in Qatar attended the meeting. Mr. Wang Zhixiang, on invitation, attended and posed for a photo with Premier Wen. Premier Wen said that there exist great potential of development in Qatar and Middle East market and that our enterprise should，in the course of “going global”, be committed to establishing all-round cooperative partnership in various sectors, which will bring about tangible benefits to both China and Qatar. In the meantime, both sides should make more contributions to the friendship between China and Qatar based on the pragmatic attitude of mutual respect and all-win. （Chen Xin)
