2016-05-27

On April 26th 2016, International Marketing team of BUCG and Bolivia public works and housing services signed a Cooperation Agreement of the Viru Viru International Airport expansion project EPC. It is the second bid airport project after the Expansion and Upgrading of International Airport in Maldives, which marked that the first EPC general contracting project wasofficially launched in the South American market of BUCG International Business. This project is highly concerned by the governments of the two countries.
Located in Santa Cruz in Bolivia City, Viru Viru International Airport is one of the major aviation hubs of Bolivia. The original airport was built in 1983 and its annual passenger throughput reached about 1.3 million people. At present, the airport facilities have been unable to meet the needs of the city. Therefore, the Ministry of public works of Bolivia invited tender to five Chinese Capital Corporations so as to upgrade and expend the Viru Viru International Airport.
