
On June 26, local time, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko signed a document to award Chinese companies involved in the construction of the China-aided National Football Stadium in Belarus. Beijing Urban Construction Group Co., Ltd., as the general contractor for the project, received the commendation. The National Football Stadium in Belarus is a key project under the China-Belarus joint efforts in the Belt and Road Initiative, and it is an important cooperation project personally promoted and supported by the heads of both ries. The venue has a floor area of 48,000 square meters and 33,145 spectator seats. It is currently the largest and highest-standard professional football stadium in Belarus, capable of hosting international events such as World Cup qualification, UEFA Euro qualifying, and the UEFA Champions League.
