On November 11, Li Weidong was invited to attend a special meeting of the Airport Authority Hong Kong, where he had in-depth exchanges with Lin Tianfu, Chairman of the Airport Authority, on deepening cooperation and collaborating in overseas market expansion, building consensus for BUCG's cross-border business expansion. Lin Tianfu highly recognized BUCG's excellent performance in the Hong Kong Airport Project. The two sides reached a consensus on the cooperation path under the "Belt and Road" Initiative, and made it clear that they would deepen the "Beijing Hong Kong" collaborative model based on the successful cooperation of the Hong Kong Airport Project, work together to explore new opportunities for "going global" in the field of cross-border infrastructure construction, and jointly expand the international engineering market.
On November 12, Li Weidong visited BUCG International Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "International Company") for research. The International Company was established in 2017 and is responsible for the market expansion functions in Hong Kong and Macao. Li Weidong listened to the report on the progress of the International Company's work and pointed out that the International Company should clarify its development goals and establish effective control mechanisms, and achieve digital management of the entire process of personnel, assets, and materials through information technology; it is necessary to assist in the relevant work of the Hong Kong Airport Project, ensure timely and high-quality performance of the project, establish a good reputation for BUCG in Hong Kong, and lay the foundation for future market development.
On November 13, Li Weidong visited the Hong Kong Airport Project for research and held discussions with the project team. Li Weidong went deep into the construction site to inspect the progress of the project, process details, and safety management, and listened to the overall report of the project. He highly appreciated the construction achievements of the Hong Kong Airport Project Team over five years of dedicated efforts in Hong Kong. Regarding the follow-up work of the project, he pointed out that the Hong Kong Airport Project should empower the market with benchmark experience, systematically refine international management and cross-regional collaboration achievements based on construction results, form replicable and promotable experience, and make it a "strong foundation" for BUCG to expand international markets and major projects. The implementation of the Hong Kong Airport project should be leveraged to continuously cultivate talents, so that project team members can grow into technical and management backbones to support the long-term development of BUCG's international business.
