From April 25 to May 2 local time, Burkina Faso’s 22nd National Culture Week was held with great fanfare in its cultural capital, Bobo-Dioulasso. As a key participant in practical cooperation between China and Burkina Faso, BUCG actively responded to the initiative and participated in the exhibition, fostering consensus through cultural exchange to help ensure that practical cooperation between China and Burkina Faso progresses steadily and sustainably.

As Burkina Faso’s most prestigious and time-honored national cultural event, this year’s Cultural Week features a diverse range of activities, including folk performances and exhibitions of distinctive cultural and creative products. It showcases the country’s unique cultural heritage and dynamic development, serving as a vital platform for preserving national culture and boosting the local economy. The year 2026 coincides with the “China-Africa Year of People-to-People Exchanges.” By participating in the National Culture Week as a cultural exchange partner, China has created a synergistic effect between the “China-Africa Year of People-to-People Exchanges” and the “Burkina Faso National Culture Week,” building a bridge for cultural exchange and practical cooperation between China and Burkina Faso, while also providing an important opportunity for Chinese enterprises to enter the Burkina Faso market and deepen bilateral cooperation.
At the event, BUCG held a special exhibition showcasing the achievements of its key projects in Burkina Faso and its comprehensive capabilities in international engineering, and the exhibition area attracted significant attention. As a key participant in practical cooperation between China and Burkina Faso, BUCG has successfully completed a series of high-quality, major infrastructure projects that improve people’s livelihoods, including the China-aided Bobo-Dioulasso Hospital, Burkina Faso and Bobo-Dioulasso Airport. These projects have continuously enhanced the local infrastructure system and provided strong impetus for Burkina Faso’s economic and social development.
