The U.S. un Design Award is one of the world’s most influential annual international design competitions, aimed at discovering and recognizing the world’s most influential outstanding designs and innovative talents.
As a core pilot project for Beijing’s efforts to advance the development of its functions as an international exchange center, the Wangjing International Talent Apartments (One Community) project aligns with the “Five Essentials” development goals for the capital’s international talent communities and Chaoyang District’s “Three Internationals, One Future” strategic framework. It creates a livable space for high-end global talent that fosters a sense of belonging while offering an international perspective, thereby providing solid talent support for the development of Beijing as a center for science and technology innovation. The project organically blends the atmosphere of overseas living with the local culture heritage to build a complex community with complete functions, eco-friendly, smart and convenient. The implementation of the project has not only improved the quality of life in the region but has also helped build the city’s innovation ecosystem through the clustering of talent, highlighting the significant value of design in serving national strategies and enhancing urban competitiveness.
